Simon Blackquill
"The Twisted Prosecutor. And an insomniac one, for that matter."
Set after the events of Spirit of Justice.
In the Twitter Realm so far, he's been shot twice; once in the shoulder, by someone named 'Maya Fey', and once in the kneecap during an unfortunate attack by the Phantom. This means that this Simon has a set of bandages on his chest to his shoulder, and a set of bandages on his leg.
Update: He has also been stabbed in the upper chest by Phoenix Wright ( @pwattorney ), so he now has a third set of bandages.
He's also been roped into the Ace Attorney: Love Island series. (#liattorneyseason and #gayattorneyisland).
The duality of man.
Relationships
((Updated))
Simon is a very insulting and cold-acting man, thanks to his twisted persona. As a result, he doesn't become close to people unless they make an effort to break past his barriers. As of late however, these barriers have slowly been crumbling.
This hasn't stopped him from falling in love with his rival prosecutor Nahyuta Sahdmadhi however, even if they clash often and disagree on many functions of life. The Monk gives him feelings of bliss and "elevation", if you put it in his words; something which he hadn't felt for a long time. Ever since the 'incident'.
After all, one was a person of royalty, while the other is a ex-convict. Yet somehow, they've both suffered equally sacrificial lives.
He tends to become defensive when anyone accuses him of loving Sahdmadhi, and will throw insults if it'll spare himself from unnecessary feelings and embarrassment.
Towards others, Simon tends to act unfairly, mocking them or yelling at them if he feels like they've done something 'stupid' in his eyes. Despite this, Simon will try to help out those who he sees as good people if he has the right words to say, and he'll protect children even with his life. Even if he tends to tease Athena, he cares about her deeply, and will put his own life at risk in order to save her.
As time went on, Simon's started to try becoming a nicer person. He adopted a few children, so he puts in his best effort to show his appreciation for them, even if it can surprise them (like Kay Faraday) at times. If he can offer advice where he can, he tries to do so.
Thankfully for Simon, his relationship with Nahyuta turned into a real thing. Both are head-over-heels for one another, Simon especially being new to how one acts and behaves when being so close to someone. He can have the tendency for the dramatic in attempts of showing affection, but Nahyuta seems to have no issue with that.
Simon was an awkward child when it came to love when he was smaller, which doesn't exactly help.
But now, at the very least, he's much happier. And planning to propose at the end of June, going to others for advice here and there to make it as perfect as possible. Planning weddings is hard!
Typically, replicas of people would frighten him and remind him of a /bad person/, though he's gotten used to the amount of familiar faces in this time-mucky place. Anyone involving the Phantom or who he disguised as, however, brings him true fear.
Any mention of the man he previously loved, Bobby Fulbright, disturbs him deeply.
----
Note: Simon is Gay/Asexual. He was beginning to understand his sexuality in his youth, but the events prior to AA:DD caused him to struggle with accepting himself. By this point, he's open about being gay.
@LastRitesMonk
The Nahyuta he loves, and the one that makes Simon feel elevated.
He recently got into a relationship with him, and is already planning to propose - !? He really does love Nahyuta that much.
Simon tends to nickname him 'Lavender', and spam him with <3's over texts.
He forced Nahyuta to help him look after the Dadquill family.
@finespacelover
Simon remembers Clay/Celeste from when he worked at the Cosmos Space Center. He enjoys their company, and finds their interest in space very amusing. Although he doesn't show it, he's quite jealous of their marriage with Justice-Dono (@yellinghelps). He's still glad for them, of course.
@oblivious_blob
Even though they haven't spoken many words to one another, Simon greatly appreciates Brian's existence. He always seems to be supporting him in the background with love and kindness; almost like a fanboy. Who wouldn't like them?
@ifibackitup12
Simon finds Gavin-dono an amazing friend, and tries to support him where he can. This is partially fuelled by his old memories of being a huge Gavinners fanboy when he was young, and by his willingness to adopt Gavin-dono as a brother.
Simon's (sort of) intimidated by Gavin-dono's role in @gaylawyerisland.
@TakaLuvsYou
Taka is one amazing buzzard. Simon will always cherish Taka and the comfort he brings, going as far as to sign up to Love Island: Attorney Season in order to win the bird some money. To buy Taka an incredibly expensive perch.
@HEARlNGHEARTS
Little Cykes-dono means the world to him, and he'll throw away his own life in order to protect her. He tries to keep to habit of calling her 'Princess', even if his interactions with her older self makes 'Cykes-dono' the instinctive response.
She's been adopted into the Dadquill family.
@GreatBirbThief
Even though they fall out constantly, and have a very rocky 'friendship', Simon has pledged himself to do better after adopting her into the Dadquill family. For a start, he's dropping the 'Thief' insult.
@childishbliss
Fey-dono shot him.
Yet still ... he adopted her, and wants to look after her properly, even with her chaotic tendencies. Hopefully he doesn't cross paths with the front of her Barbie Jeep. It's entertaining, at least.
@trucythewright
One of the three Trucy's he adopted. She seems nice, but the fact that she's a co-host for @gaylawyerisland means that he's slightly scared of her. What cruel jokes would she help Gavin-dono play-!?
He calls this Trucy ... Magic-dono.
@trucylovesyou
Another Trucy in the Dadquill family. She apparently likes girls a /lot/, but Simon's entirely accepting of that. Trucy's also fun to talk to, and he finds her equally important in the family.
He calls her Trucy-dono.
@TrucyBaby
She's more social and loud than Princess/little Cykes-dono is, yet he cares about her all the same. Though he can get quite overprotective of her, if he has reason to be worried.
Simon calls her Little Trucy-dono.
@CelestyArts
He immediately adopted Cel when given the chance, making them a.. part-dragon addition to the family? Simon doesn't know much about them, actualy. But they're sweet, and so he cares about them lots.
Headcanons
[I'll add onto headcanons at some point, but for now I have Taka ones.]
Taka is trained very well by Simon. He knows when to try comforting people; all based on the commands he was taught. Tapping thrice on the body instructs Taka to give them a hug, for example. The hug happens to be Taka's most used command.Taka wakes Simon up in the night when his nightmares get too severe. Due to this, he becomes very alert when Simon mutters or speaks in a much quieter tone, since Simon mumbles when he wakes up.He begins chirping loudly upon mention of the Phantom, Fulbright or anyone equally as hurtful into Simon's ear, trying to take his mind off the matter. Taka will become agitated against whoever caused his owner distress.Even though all his moves are trained, Taka goes genuinely like being pet and making other people smile. He's a nice bird.Like Simon, Taka is very watchful of young people, and keeps his voice down in order not to scare them.On a similar note, Taka gets shocked whenever Simon yells, but Simon gives him treats to make up for it later on.Taka memorises all of the songs from what Simon watches, and sings them for entertainment.He really likes meat-based treats.If someone starts crying, Taka will hastily try to rub his head against their face to 'dry up' the tears.
